Forno Pizza – OMAN

We have completed a rustic-industrial pizzeria modelled on an Italian courtyard in the centre of Oman. Inside, walls are treated to appear centuries-old, with concrete and tile floors adding to the aged feel. the team placed an open kitchen that was inspired by the traditional outdoor kiosks found in Naples. Opening the view to the preparation of food offers diners a chance to engage in the performance of cooking. The cooking area is partly enclosed by concrete walls with a geometric motif based on Forno’s logo. A chef’s counter is topped with Italian green marble. The three-dimensional, rolling pin pattern of the shelving adds a textural layer to the space.
